All training is personalized and taught one-on-one between instructor and student. If you prefer, you can bring a partner or a small group to train with. Large group classes often limit individual progress, so I keep sessions focused and flexible—private, partner, or small group—based on what works best for you.
Discounts are provided for partner training.
Instructor Chris teaches self defense from three perspectives.
Think Street: Focus on practical techniques for unpredictable, real-world situations. This principle emphasizes self-defense and how martial arts apply outside the gym or competition. Always consider how techniques work in real life, where anything can happen.
Train Sport: Structured training designed to improve skill and strategy within clear rules.
Sport training lets practitioners test techniques against resisting opponents, sharpen skills, and learn strategy safely. It’s the best way to practice effectively while reducing injury risk, building both technique and conditioning.
Practice Art: Commit to continuous improvement and mastery. This aspect highlights the thoughtful and creative side of martial arts. It prioritizes technique, leverage, and timing over strength, encouraging a deeper connection to the discipline through constant learning and refinement.
These principles guide all the courses we teach. Street Safe & Combat Flow.
Yes! Instructor Chris has broken each course into manageable sections to ensure efficient learning with consistent effort.
The aim is to apply effective techniques from different martial arts in the situations where they work best, rather than mastering every style. My instructor, Paul Vunak, taught Jeet Kune Do, which blends Filipino Martial Arts, Wing Chun, and Muay Thai for specific scenarios. I’ve also incorporated techniques from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Catch Wrestling, using learning and motivational psychology to accelerate skill development.
"Adapt what is useful, reject what is useless, and add what is specifically your own."

Combat Flow is a comprehensive martial arts curriculum divided into three main modules that covers striking, trapping, weapons, grappling, and defense across multiple martial arts styles for practical self-defense and flow in combat.
Street BJJ: Teaches practical, real-world self-defense using Gracie Jiu-Jitsu principles. The program covers ground control, clinch work, takedowns, escapes, and ground punch defense through step-by-step lessons for all skill levels.
Jeet Kune Do Concepts: This training focuses on striking and defense techniques drawn from Muay Thai, JKD, and Wing Chun. It includes footwork, centerline control, feinting, trapping, and drills such as wood dummy exercises. Based on Bruce Lee’s martial art, the curriculum covers punches, elbows, knees, kicks, combinations, defense, clinch work, and core striking-defense skills.
Kali Essentials: Teaches self-defense through stick fighting, empty-hand and stick disarms, knife defense, panantukan (hand strikes), kicks, clinch work, locks, and takedowns. Drawing from Malaysian, Filipino, and Indonesian martial arts like Kali, Escrima, Arnis, and Silat, this course focuses on skills rooted in a history of survival and conflict.
Street Safe is a practical self-defense program using evidence-based methods for real-world situations. It covers stand-up defense, ground fighting, and weapons training to build skills and confidence. The courses are Rapid Assault Tactics, Ground Fighting Combatives, and Primal Weapons Training.
The program is designed to teach practical skills quickly and efficiently, faster than traditional martial arts.
